Czech Runner Dies from Falling During UTMB’s TDS Race in Chamonix

There was unhappy information coming out of Chamonix, France, early on the morning of August 25.

The Ultra-Trail du Mont-Blanc race group claimed that a male runner from the Czech Republic competing in the 145-km TDS race died immediately after struggling a poor drop and critical injuries. The incident occurred at the 62.3 km mark on the descent of the Passeur de Pralognan, an 8,421-foot mountain go west of Chamonix, France.

It is considered to be the to start with death in the 19-12 months record of the Extremely-Trail du Mont-Blanc races in and around Chamonix.
